Best-Ever Healthy Mexican Green Sauce

Quick, Easy, and Scrumptious – all in one green sauce recipe! Just mix 8 healthy ingredients together, and you will have one of the best-ever, healthy Mexican Green Sauces you’ve ever put in your mouth. That’s a promise! This particular recipe for Healthy Mexican Green Sauce is a knock-off from the famous and popular Mexican restaurant, Gringos Mexican Kitchen, located in the Houston, Texas metroplex.

The organic avocados and organic sour cream/Greek yogurt, in this green sauce recipe, provides a creamy and delicious sauce that you can enjoy with healthy chips, crackers, organic vegetables, and a topping for salads, meats, tacos, nachos, and as a spread for veggie sandwiches.

Feel free to add more jalapenos if you prefer a more spicy green sauce. If you prefer less-spicy, it’s a good idea to de-seed the jalapenos before chopping. For the most delicious flavor, make sure to purchase ripe avocados. When avocados are rock hard, the green sauce will not turn out as creamy. Fresh cilantro is a must for this recipe. If you try to substitute dried cilantro, the green sauce will not taste as good.

Ingredient List

4-5 – Organic Avocados, peeled and sliced
16-oz – Organic Sour Cream 0r Greek Yogurt
1 – 4-oz Can of Organic Green Chilies
1 – Can Organic Rotel
1 – Handful of Chopped Fresh Organic Cilantro
1 – Tbs Organic Garlic Salt
1-2 Organic Jalapenos, chopped
1 – Tsp Fresh Lemon or Lime Juice


Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender. Mix until smooth and creamy. Enjoy!!!

How to Store Best-Ever Healthy Mexican Green Sauce

This Mexican green sauce will last approximately 3 to 5 days in the fridge when stored in an airtight container. The lime/lemon juice will prevent the avocado from oxidizing too quickly, but note that if your Mexican green sauce begins to brown, it’s usually still safe to eat. Hint – Most likely, you will not have to worry about storing leftovers!
